The World Chinese Medicine Forum Hosts Its Third Series

The World Chinese Medicine Forum held its third monthly lecture series "Top Experts from China: Digestive Health Series" from February to May 2023 to enthusiastic responses from attendees.

The course content and bilingual webinar format attracted over 500 TCM physicians and students from all over the world. Participants joined from ten different countries: the United States, China, Canada, Portugal, Slovakia, India, Mexico, Australia, the Philippines, and Costa Rica.

The series was taught by China's top TCM gastroenterologist, Dr. Suiping Huang, and provided both physicians and students with lectures rich in academic content and Dr. Huang's unique clinical experience.

Dr. Huang is Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangzhou University. Additionally, he is the Director of the Department of Gastroenterology of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Head of the Digestive Specialty of the National Drug Clinical Trial Center. Dr. Huang has presided over multiple national, provincial, and department-level projects, has been awarded several prizes for his contributions to TCM, and has published over 30 academic works.

Dr. Huang's lectures explored the Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment for four common yet difficult-to-treat digestive conditions: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Functional Dyspepsia, Chronic Atrophic Gastritis & Gastric Precancerous Lesions, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

The series explained the use of TCM in spleen and stomach diseases and each lecture covered etiology and pathogenesis, Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, famous classics, how to differentiate and treat gastrointestinal-related diseases, and explored Dr. Huang'c clinical experience through case analysis.
